Patrick brought a wealth of knowledge, acumen and experience with a specific focus on Tax and Financial Services.
He was a Partner in Deloitte’s Financial Services Tax practice specialising in transaction-focused, commercial advice to financial service clients on M&A transactions, structured finance and asset management. Patrick had 35 years’ experience in tax; both with major accounting firms and as Group Taxation Manager of a bank.
His clients included financial institutions and asset managers. Patrick was their trusted advisor across the range of taxation issues, including managing tax audits and negotiating settlements with the tax authorities. He had worked in New York, with a focus on cross-border structured finance transactions. Patrick is known for the articles he has written for the Australian Stock Exchange for general investor education, and was a Senior Fellow Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. He has also been recognised by Legal Media as one of the World’s Leading Tax Advisors.
Patrick was a very keen golfer, having travelled and played in Asia, Europe and the USA.
